Our external bungaroosh wall was badly damaged with cracks and blown render, which was causing an internal damp issue. Louis did a brilliant job restoring the wall to its former glory, he was really knowledgeable about bungaroosh and traditional building methods. The damp issue was fully resolved. He was very thorough in his work as well as very polite and personable. Highly recommended!

We have engaged Louis Auton and Sussex Flint Brick & Lime several times over a number of years to renovate, repair and adapt our West Sussex flint wall and also to repoint our cottage chimney. They are certainly experts in their craft and on each occasion have done a most excellent job. Very impressed. These guys are artisans, in the true meaning of the word. It's rare these days that you get anyone working with their hands who have pride in what they do, at least not to this level. Bungaroosh is a unique building material requiring specialist knowledge but Louie et al give me confidence that ours will be around for another 150 years. Our back wall and garden also look fantastic, I'd imagine better than they did when they were first constructed!
